Hickory Hollow
Over the course of two years I have pursued photographic work documenting a local hunting club of my rural community in the piedmont region of Virginia. Photographing their process of scouring the landscape for game and harvesting the animals they kill. I use my observing perspective to engage with these acts of hunting to represent the connectivity man has with nature and the way nature equates with man in return. I submerge myself into the lands they hunt and the traditions they hold fiercely.
